Consider This: Malaysia-China — Are We Xi-ing Eye to Eye?

In the aftermath of the US tariff announcement, the Malaysia-China relationship will be tested. At the same time, the current US policy might push Malaysia to seek even closer economic ties with China.

To avoid entrapment by either superpowers, Malaysia needs to look for alternatives to US markets while avoiding over-reliance on China.

There will be more unpredictability from the Trump administration and volatility in the foreseeable future.
